Sharon Svitak was born and raised in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco. She has also lived in Albany, GA, and Arvada, CO. She now is a 24-year resident of Dublin, CA. She enjoys traveling both domestically and abroad. On the North American continent she especially enjoys the Pacific Northwest and the Yukon Territory. Overseas her favorite places to visit are Ireland, closely followed by western Turkey particularly Asia Minor.
In addition to her writing regimen, Sharon enjoys wine tasting and reading for leisure. She is working on her first fiction effort, a romance novel. She blogs infrequently at ‘Simply Sharon Comments ’and at ‘What is a Body to Read’.
Her most recent publications include the book, Letters to Ethan: Joe’s Story and “Book of Memories” which appears in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Grieving and Recovery.
Sharon is a member of the California Writers Club and the editor of the CWC Tri-Valley Branch monthly newsletter.
