Art Tenbrink won the award for Best Poem on the 2018 Alameda County Fair Theme “Summertime Fun” for his poem, “Route 66 Revisited.”
Patricia Boyle won an honorable mention award for her poem, “Aurora,” in the Poetry in a Test Tube: Livermore’s Second Annual Science Poetry Contest.
Arushi Avachat won third place in the Tri-Valley Writers 2018 High School Writing Contest for her essay “of honey and spice.” She also won first place for this essay in the Young Authors Writing Contest presented by the Bay Area Book Festival and Writopia Lab.
