Barbara Flores‘ memoir, Separated Acting Badly: For the Love of Food, A Man, and Me, is now available on Amazon (Kindle and paperback). Barbara’s funny, and ultimately family-affirming book chronicles the transition from marriage to divorce, and what she learned from herself and her well-meaning friends.

 

Alice Kight‘s poem “Beloved Eyewitness” won first place in the I Remember category of the 2019 California Federation of Chaparral Poets contest.

 

 

Rose Owens‘ middle-grade novel, Maryalise, and the Singing Flowers, is now available on Amazon (Kindle and paperback). Rose expects to publish the final two novels in the trilogy later this year. Maryalise and the Singing Flowers is a fantasy about a child called Mary Alice who discovers a forget spell has erased her memories of her real family and her powers and of the father who needs her help to escape the Dark Fairy.

 

Ann Parker’s latest book in her Silver Rush historical mystery series, A Dying Note, has been named a finalist for the Left Coast Crime Lefty Best Historical Novel Award and The Foreword INDIE Award for Mystery.
