Have you poured your heart and soul into a draft of your novel or spent the month of November writing 50,000 + words for NaNoWriMo, and now don’t know what to do with all your effort? Are you stuck with your research? Or not sure if you’ve done enough to properly world build? Perhaps you have questions about self-publishing. Maybe you want to try your hand at poetry. Then join us on December 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Four Points by Sheraton, 5115 Hopyard Road in Pleasanton, as we hold a “Workshop A La Carte” in which attendees will be able to join in on three out of seven very different table-top discussions. Come prepared. Know your writing and the topics you would like to focus/improve upon.
Rules:
- Each tabletop discussion will be 20 minutes in length
- Table Topic Presenter stays at table, attendees move to desired table
- Each table can hold up to 7 attendees
- Attendees have the choice to attend 3 out of the 7 tabletop discussions
- Attendees will select their three discussion sessions (including time of session) at check-in. Note: First come, first selection!
- Attendees will begin at the table that corresponds with their first session
There will be approximately 5 minutes between sessions to get refreshments and rotate to the proper table.
Attendees will take away ideas and concrete examples of ways to improve their writing. Handouts of key points from the discussions the attendee participated in will be available.
December is also Tri-Valley Writers’ book swap month. Bring a book, swap for another book you haven’t already read. You may bring more than one book.
