Pauline Wiles will present “Websites that Wow Readers…How to Create or Update Your Online Home” at the Tri-Valley Writers October meeting. If you’re an author or writer, an effective and attractive website is a vital piece of online real estate. Not only does it showcase your work, but it helps you inspire and retain your ideal readers. Would you rather dive into your work-in-progress than grapple with technology and design? You’re not alone! Like many writers, this means you either have no website at all, or you feel ashamed of your outdated site which no longer represents your writing aspirations. Join us on October 17th to find out how to simplify your website project and avoid common design pitfalls. You’ll leave with plenty of tips for doing it yourself, or insider advice if you choose to work with a professional. Most importantly, you’ll feel motivated to get it done!
Join us on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. via Zoom. RSVP by Thursday, October 15.

Pauline is a website designer who builds a simple, effective online presence for authors and writers. As an author herself, she noticed others were often overwhelmed by this task. Now, she aims not only to create beautiful and impactful writer websites, but also to dispel some of the myths around how difficult a web project should be.
British by birth, Pauline is now a contented resident of California, although she admits to an occasional yearning for afternoon tea and historic homes. Her professional resume includes teaching computing to adults on both sides of the Atlantic, as well as desktop support, entrepreneurship education, and marketing analysis. When not creating websites, Pauline can be found writing romantic comedy, or calculating how many miles she has to run to justify an extra piece of cake. She loves to travel, but adores coming home, too.
