Writing Backward—Begin by Plotting from the End

Martha Alderson will present “Writing Backward—Begin by Plotting from the End” at the Tri-Valley Writers April meeting. Most writers spend far more time writing and rewriting the beginning of their stories. By the time you’ve reached the end, you’re overjoyed and ready to get on with the next step toward publication. While beginnings hook agents, publishers, and your readers, endings create fans and thus deserve equal or more time spent writing and rewriting. Martha has found that writers benefit from a backward approach, and she’ll present two techniques to help writers do just that.
