The CWC Tri-Valley Branch will not have a monthly meeting in April to encourage members to attend the 9th Annual Pleasanton Poetry, Prose and Arts Festival, April 17-18, 2010. Writers of all levels are invited to participate in a variety of free activities on Saturday afternoon, April 17. Activities that are open to the public include a fine arts exhibition by the Pleasanton Art League, authors’ reception and book signing, and Literary Row from 1:00-2:30 p.m. Look for Tri-Valley Writers members Annette Langer,Violet Carr Moore, Albert Rothman, and Elaine Schmitz on Literary Row. Musical entertainment will be provided by classical guitarist Jim Steinke. In addition to the public activities, the complete, two day festival for registered participants will feature 16 workshops, including two-session mini-courses and individual workshops for adults, youth and teens, and a poetry and prose awards banquet with music by harpist Dominique Piana.
