Marilyn Slade and Violet Carr Moore published

Marilyn Slade and Violet Carr Moore, winners in Summer Travel at the Speed of Haiku contest, were published July 5, 2010, in the Contra Costa Times, Tri-Valley Herald, and affiliated Bay Area News Group newspapers. In addition, Marilyn’s poem “I am a Proud Raisin,” won the Alameda County Fair theme award.

Mark Curtis first place award

Danville author and political reporter Mark Curtis has won a 2010 International Book Award for The Making of the President 2008, Age of Obama: A Reporter’s Journey with Clinton, McCain and Obama. LaDonna Fehlberg in LPC anthology

Changes and Summer Sky, two poems by LaDonna Fehlberg were published in the 2010 Las Positas College Anthology along with her photograph Lilies Among the Rocks. This is LaDonna’s fifth year to be included in the anthology. During those years, her photography Destiny placed first and Tension placed third in the art category.
