Monique Rardin Richardson was born in Oakland and raised in Alameda. She found the joy of reading early in life and began writing poetry and short stories in middle school. Unfortunately, Monique gave up most writing except for poetry while navigating through life but realized there was still time. So she started following her two passions, photography and writing, and is now the author of The Unlikely Dreamcatcher and When Then Became Now and has published several of her poems.
Being a half-Hispanic woman, she finds her roots tend to weave their way into her stories, whether fictional or not.
Monique lives in Dublin, CA. When not writing, she teaches meditation, runs her Etsy store, or is outside enjoying nature with her faithful companion, the camera.
